Netflix has released the teaser trailer for its Resident Evil series that will premiere in July.
The live-action series will blend the horror of the Resident Evil video games with an action-packed and horrifying adventure in a zombie-infested future.
The series promises to bring the best of the 'Resident Evil' universe into something wholly new and original while retaining what has made the franchise what it is today.
Andrew Dabb (Supernatural) serves as showrunner.The series stars Lance Reddick as the iconic Resident Evil character Albert Wesker alongside Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, Paola Nuñez, Ahad Raza Mir, Connor Gossatti, and Turlough Convery.

Year 2036 – 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and insane creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie.
Resident Evil will debut on Netflix on July 14.
