RHOA alums Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams were once thicker than thieves. Now fans are wondering if they’re even friends at all.
The Falling Out on ‘RHOA’
After 14 seasons, viewership for Real Housewives of Atlanta is starting to slow down. And unfortunately, viewership isn’t the only thing that’s down in the RHOA-verse.
During its ninth season, former besties Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams got into it. And unfortunately, the two haven’t been the same ever since.
In a season 9 9 reunion episode, Williams revealed that Parks alleged that fellow RHOA cast member Kandi Burress told her that she and her husband wanted to coerce her into having sex by drugging her. But Parks later admitted that she didn’t hear the rumor from Burruss after all — but instead, from an unnamed source.
Upon hearing the news, the other cast members rushed to comfort Williams, admonishing Parks for lying. But she fired back against the accusations, saying, “I repeated it because I heard it,” Parks explained. “Something was brought to me. I just repeated it. I repeated what someone told me. I’m not saying I didn’t say it. I’m saying I repeated it.”
After a bit of back and forth, Parks eventually apologized for her actions. “I shouldn’t have repeated it … I screwed up,” she said. “I’m sorry Porsha … I didn’t know if it was true or not … If something would have happened to you, I would have been a bad friend.
And after nine seasons, Parks would later exit the show. And even though she kept the reason for her departure on the hush-hush, fans speculated it was due to her accusations against Burruss and her husband.

Over the summer, Phaedra Parks stopped by Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen to provide fans with an update on her relationship with her ex-husband, Apollo Nida. And of course, Porsha Williams became a topic of conversation.
During their chit chat, host Andy Cohen asked Parks about her friendship with Williams. And to the surprise of their fans, Parks revealed that the two are actually still friendly with one another.

“Yeah, actually, I talk to her,” she said. “You know she’s getting married [to Simon Guobadia]. Congratulations, Porsha. So we don’t talk a lot lot, but we definitely keep in touch.”

In an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Porsha Williams revealed where she stands in her friendship with Phaedra Parks. She shares what went down after the cameras stopped rolling.
“I’ve gotten an apology at the reunion, and then shortly after that we chatted for a bit [and] I got an apology. But we haven’t had a full conversation about the situation. I think just over time, we’ve let it go.”
But even though the two are not as close as they once were, Williams admits to being okay with their new friendship status.

“You know, we still chat here and there. [It’s] just, ‘How you doing? How are the kids? How’s PJ?’ But we haven’t been able to have that full sit down, which is fine,” she said. “I’m good with it.”
Phaedra Parks Could Make a 'Real Housewives' Comeback

Phaedra Parks is pretty sure that she isn’t returning to RHOA. But according to her, that doesn’t mean she won’t consider other Real Housewives shows.
Parks has already appeared in an episode of Real Housewives of Dubai. And in a chit-chat with People, she shares that the experience was worth exploring further.
“You’ve got to run with people who are obviously running with the same purpose and destination,” she said of the Dubai cast. “If you get out of the miry clay, honey, you got to stay out of the miry clay.”

And regarding her plans to join the show, she says, “Now that, is a possibility. That is a strong possibility.”

Parks exited the Real Housewives of Atlanta series after its ninth season, with fans speculating that the accusations she made were the reason why. But Parks has kept pretty tight-lipped about her exit. Instead, the RHOA alum is keeping busy with other projects, including donating more than $100K worth of sneakers to children in need.
But recently, Parks attended an RHOA premiere party where she chatted with People about whether she planned to return to the show.

“You know, you can never say never.” She said, before noting its declining viewership. “I don’t really have any thoughts on [the show now],” she said. “I don’t think many people are watching.”
