'RHOA': Porsha Williams Event Crashed By Animal Rights Activists Asking Her To Stop Wearing Fur

Porsha Williams is currently on a press tour for her new memoir The Pursuit of Porsha. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star has been opening up about why she wrote the book and detailing some of the most painful memories in her life, including back-to-back abusive relationships and a brief one with R. Kelly.

During a recent book signing, she was bombarded by an animal rights activist who called her out for wearing fur.

Anti-fur supporters interrupted Porsha Williams’ book signing

Williams received the surprise of a lifetime recently when her book signing was interrupted by animal rights activists at a Barnes & Noble store.

According to The Jasmine Brand, one of the activists yelled, “Ladies and gentlemen I am not here to interrupt anything! I want to bring something to your attention that’s very important – The Real Housewives support fur and wear fur.’

“We are here to ask Porsha – Porsha please stop wearing fur! Animals are skinned alive! It’s not fashion,” she continued.

Supporters responded:

Williams’ supporters are overheard yelling, “We love fur!” The former RHOA star appears unbothered. Though in the video, she continues signing books for fans as a store employee has a verbal exchange with the woman and appears to escort her out. Williams hasn’t addressed the ambush on social media.

Interestingly, Williams has appeared to be a supporter of animal rights on and off. She has adopted a strict vegan diet on several occasions in recent years, citing health and her love of animals.
