Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta has been a drama-filled and very entertaining franchise since it’s inception.

The new Housewives tell-all book, Dave Quinn’s, Not All Diamonds and Rosé: The Inside Story of The Real Housewives, alleges that one of the biggest altercations of the show (so far) never made it to air. It involves frenemies and RHOA alum Kim Zolciak-Biermann and the the queen of the Atlanta franchise, NeNe Leakes.

There is no secret that Zolciak-Biermann and NeNe Leakes had a catty relationship that played out on air. There were great mountain highs and some really dark valley lows. However, nothing could prepare fans of the Atlanta franchise for what was revealed in the book.

According to the book, the cameras missed an argument between Zolciak-Biermann and Leakes that quickly escalated during the filming of Season 2.

“The arguments between Kim and NeNe were always next level. All season 2, they went back and forth, fighting and making up,” then-producer Carlos King said. “Then there was an incident that happened off-camera where NeNe allegedly tried to choke Kim in a Target parking lot.”

The two declined to participate in interviews for the book, but RHOA‘s resident bone collector, Sheree Whitfield, said she witnessed the entire thing.

“They were at Atlantic Station. Kim and NeNe were waiting to film a scene shopping at a boutique,” Whitfield said in the book. “But NeNe was upset because Kim had supposedly been talking about her behind her back at the A-List Awards.”

Whitfield alleges Leakes went to Zolciak-Biermann to confront her. And that’s when it all went down.

“They started arguing and NeNe went for Kim’s neck and was choking her,” Whitfield claimed. “She lunged at her twice. Kim ended up calling the police but dropped the charges. The cameras were inside the store, so they missed the whole thing.”
