Lawyer, television host, and legal commentator Eboni K. Williams is letting the ladies of The Real Housewives of New York know that she’s not here to play. She’s taken a page from Wendy Osefo of The Real Housewives of Potomac that she “has the most education” than all of her new co-stars when she’s seemingly met with some form of classism. Needless to say, some of her co-stars aren’t pleased.

But Williams takes no mess in the trailer and per her official bio on Bravo, she’s “a fierce, unstoppable, and strong-willed woman” who is “unapologetically driven to give voice to the voiceless.” And as Entertainment Weekly reports, she holds her own as she’s “positioned for disruption, she enters these opportunities representing Black excellence intent on demonstrating and inspiring what is possible for Black people in America.”

It was just months ago that the blogosphere caught wind that Williams would be joining the cast, making her the first Black full-time housewife in the show’s history. Also joining and adding a bit of color is motivational speaker Breshan Shaw, who was featured in the short-lived OWN reality series, Love In The City. Shaw joins as a friend to the show.

The season promises to be jampacked with drama and lessons in racism (courtesy of Williams, of course). Old faces and fan favorites return for season 13. Luann de Lesseps starts a new romance and records a new single while simultaneously continuing on her path to sobriety. Leah McSweeney copes with the loss of a family member which more than likely inspires her spiritual journey.

Ramona Singer will host a cast trip to the Hamptons but find herself at the center of contention. Singer’s BFF Sonja Morgan is back and is all about self-love and self-care.

The Real Housewives of New York City season 13 premieres May 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
