Mia Thornton may be the newbie out of The Real Housewives of Potomac bunch, but she’s already clashing with the cast. Thornton and Gizelle Bryant got off to a rocky start, which Bryant says she believes is due to Thornton’s friendship with her longtime frenemy, Karen Huger. Thornton also has a verbal tiff with Wendy Osefo after Osefo accused her of body-shaming her for being proud to show off her new body.
Now, there’s a feud stirring up between Thornton and Candiace Dillard Bassett that is taking over social media. Dillard recently did an interview with The Jasmine Brand and gave her opinion on Thronton as the newest addition to the show. She says she thought she knew enough about Thornton but has been shocked by what she’s learning while watching the season play out.
“This is the first season where I felt like I knew what was going on during the season and watching it back, I realized I did not know what was happening during the season,” she said, as reported by Distractify. “Watching Mia lie at every turn is like, ‘What?!’”
Dillard Bassett says she’s most puzzled by Thornton’s explanation of her age and the age gap between she and her husband Gordon.
“I wasn’t at the first all-cast event because I was sick,” Dillard Bassett continued. “I missed where she didn’t know how old she was, she didn’t know how far apart she and [her husband Gordon] were, she said she had her cl-t done but it was actually vaginal rejuvenation…I was like, ‘What is going on?!’”
Thornton clapped back on her Instagram account, clarifying some things to Dillard Bassett.
She captioned a picture of a meme that reads “Minding My Own Businesses” in part:
