It looks like the spice is back in Karen Huger’s marriage. The self-proclaimed Grand Dame of The Real Housewives of Potomac put her marital issues on full display during season 5. The once happy in love couple were clearly going through a rough patch as Karen admitted she felt lonely in her marriage.

Ray made it clear that Karen’s transition from housewife to entrepreneur was too much for him to bear at times. During one therapy session, Ray admits he no longer feels he’s in love with Karen, leaving Karen in tears.

The Hugers issues appeared to began amid Ray’s business tax problems in season 2. Karen later revealed that she helped Ray financially during that time and felt that he resented her for it. During a cast trip in season 5, she even drunkenly told some of her co-stars that she wanted her money back and could have divorced Ray years ago.

Ray wouldn’t even tell Karen he loved her at certain points. Still, Karen fought for her marriage. He later thanked Karen on camera for standing by him in tough times and vowed to work on things.

Now, Karen hints that things are on the up and up with her and her longtime husband, who have been together for more than 20 years. During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Karen hints at a vow renewal ceremony between her and Ray.

“No matter how solid the relationship seems, no housewives’ marriage will ever survive after an on-camera vow renewal,” Bravo honcho Andy Cohen said during a game that forced Huger to agree or disagree. “Listen up, Karen Huger,” Cohen teased, with Huger lifting her disagreement card.

The Real Housewives of Potomac season 6 begins airing this summer. All from season 5, with the exception of Monique Samuels, is slated to return.
