One of The Real Housewives of Potomac stars is experiencing drama outside of the show.

According to Love B. Scott, star Ashley Darby has officially filed for legal separation from her husband Michael. A source told the outlet that the Virginia filing is the precursor to their divorce, because in Virginia, you must live without your spouse for a year before filing for uncontested divorce. B. Scott confirmed the news of the separation, which was first reported by Kempire.

Fans of the Darbys have seen their relationship hit rough patch after rough patch, including Ashley weathering Michael's cheating.

Michael has also been sued for federal sexual assault by a cameraman who alleged Michael grabbed his behind, however, the charges were dropped. The upcoming season will reportedly follow their journey as they go through their separation.

'The Real Housewives of Potomac' is certainly not short of drama, and there has been plenty to keep fans busy this year.

The latest drama has been former Housewife Katie Rost making nice with Andy Cohen and asking to come back to the show.

“I would like to issue a public apology for statements I made that weren’t cool in the past to Andy Cohen,” she said in a recent Instagram post. “And I do want a job. And I swear I will totally behave. I’m also sorry for my temper tantrums. I feel no thirst. I just want to work. And so I’m issuing this statement publicly.”
