'RHOP' Star Candiace Dillard Bassett Responds To Fan About Askale Davis' Alleged Departure: 'Call Bravo'

Now that filming for The Real Housewives of Potomac is underway for the forthcoming seventh season, fans are anticipating what drama will unfold. All main cast members from last season are reportedly filming, in spite of rumors that Candiace Dillard Bassett did not renew her contract. Last year's Friend of the Housewives, Askale Davis, will reportedly be missing in action this time around.

Askale Davis made her debut in Season 6 as a friend to the show

Davis came onto the show as a friend of Robin Dixon’s. She quickly became friendly with the other cast members, with the exception of Mia Thornton. Fans loved Davis’ fashion choices and personal style.

Davis is married to Dre Davis and has been since 2015. They have a blended family, with two children of their own and Dre’s children from a previous relationship.

She was established before trying out reality television. According to Meaww, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Howard University. Instead of pursuing a career in science, she chose non-profit and works as Community Engagement Manager at the United Negro College Fund’s K-12 advocacy group. According to her bio on the organization’s website, she’s Askale devoted her career to “urban education and workforce readiness in the Washington, DC area.”

Candiace Dillard Bassett says Askale Davis is the only cast member not asked to return

TV Deets was the first to report that Davis was not asked to return in any capacity. Fans have been following filming updates on social media and noticed that several OGs are filming with the cast, including Katie Rost and Charisse Jackson Jordan, both of whom appeared in the show’s inaugural season. Davis was also at the event, leading to speculation that she will at least appear in the season in some capacity.

Some of Dillard Bassett’s s fans are not happy about Davis’ exit. She recently appeared on Dillard Bassett’s podcast, So That’s What We’re Doing?

As reported by Urban Belle Mag, Instagram user questioned, “Uhhh I have a question? Can @askaledavis be a friend on #RHOP? I just feel like I would love to see you have a legit friend on the show. @BravoAndy can you make this happen?” Dillard Bassett responded, “Call Bravo.”
