Mia Thornton isn’t the only new face to The Real Housewives of Potomac. In Season 6, episode 2, Robyn Dixon introduced her friend, Askale Davis, to the group. Davis first met Wendy Osefo and was introduced by Dixon as her “African sister” when Davis and Osefo were both at Dixon’s warehouse helping her prep orders for her hat line.

Like Osefo, Davis has African roots. She’s a proud Ethiopian who boasts her heritage all across her curated Instagram account. Upon attending a spa day for a very pregnant Ashley Darby in episode 3, fans of the show learned Davis was also a new mother, having recently given birth to a baby girl just two months prior to filming the scene. The married mother of four has two sons and a daughter. Her eldest son and daughter, both teenagers, are her stepchildren from her husband’s previous relationship.

She met her husband, Dre Davis, in 2015 and the couple jumped the broom three years later. Dre is an entertainment and social media guru who heads up the talent and influencer division of Fanbase, a new social media network. Apparently, he changed her stance on marriage and family, as she shared in one Instagram post that she swore off dating men with children and also contemplated not getting married or having children herself.

According to Meaww, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Howard University. In an Instagram post, she captioned one photo, “Did you know I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry? I was even inducted into Beta Kappa Chi, a scientific honor society. So much for using that degree.”

Instead of a career in science, she chose non-profit. Davis works as Community Engagement Manager at the United Negro College Fund’s K-12 advocacy group. According to her bio on the organization’s website, she’s Askale devoted her career to “urban education and workforce readiness in the Washington, DC area.”
