'RHOSLC': Robert Cosby Says People Calling Mary Cosby His Granddaughter Is 'Very Offensive'

There’s been much controversy surrounding the marriage of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Mary Cosby.

Cosby is married to her stepgrandfather, Robert Cosby. Robert is a former widow and over 20 years Mary’s senior. Per Mary, the two exchanged vows at the behest of her grandmother who felt it important to keep her business in the family.

Their marriage is definitely unconventional. Mary admits that the two haven’t been intimate in years and that she didn’t consummate the marriage right away.

Many joke and call Robert Mary’s grandfather. Apparently, Robert is bothered by references of him being anything but her husband and explained why during the reunion special.

“This granddaddy junk is stupid," he said during the reunion. "I was 22 years old when I married [Mary’s grandmother]...now whose granddaddy was I? I wasn’t even anybody’s daddy yet. I don’t like that. I don’t like that at all. That’s very offensive, for someone to say that, that’s hurtful. But I’m used to it. I don’t like people messing with my wife,” he told Andy Cohen.

Furthermore, Robert says he was hesitant to do the show, though Mary begs to differ.

RHOSLC has been renewed for a second season at Bravo.
