Rihanna Addresses Rumors Of Her Playing Poison Ivy In Matt Reeves' 'Batman' Opposite Robert Pattinson

Will Bad Gal Riri actually play a notorious villain on film?

Recently, rumors have cropped up concerning Rihanna being considered for the role of Poison Ivy in the upcoming Batman film directed by Matt Reeves and starring Robert Pattinson. According to We Got This Covered, sources told them that while Rihanna's name has come up on Warner Bros.' wishlist of actors for the role, the studio has yet to make a formal offer.

Fans were also quick to clock one of Rihanna's latest Instagram posts where she uploaded a video of her boots, writing, "bat-mobile, but make it fashion!"

Rihanna was asked about the Instagram post and rumors by Entertainment Weekly while on the red carpet for the Diamond Ball. She shot the rumors down.

"...Are you serious? No, that has nothing to do with Poison Ivy," she said, according to Buzzfeed News. But she did say that she does have "a bigger obsession with Poison Ivy," adding that she has dressed as Poison Ivy for Halloween before and that she has even dyed her hair red "because of Uma Thurman in the original." She also added that even though Warner Bros. hasn't called her, "...if they did, I would love to go in and try out. Poison Ivy is like one of my obsessions in life."

While the jury is out on whether Rihanna will get that call, we believe she would be a stellar selection. She has excelled at everything else she has applied herself to, including makeup, fashion and music, so why expect anything less than perfection from Rihanna as Poison Ivy?
