With nine Grammy Awards and 12 Billboard Music Awards under her belt, Rihanna is no stranger to accolades. Now, the multiplatinum-selling artist and makeup maven adds another marvel to her illustrious career.

It was announced that Rihanna will be the recipient of The President’s Award at the NAACP Image Awards. Prior recipients of this award include Condoleezza Rice, Colin Powell and Jay-Z, who also signed Rihanna to Def Jam Records when she was 15 years old.

“Rihanna has not only enjoyed a groundbreaking career as an artist and musician but has also distinguished herself as a stellar public servant,” said Derrick Johnson, president and CEO of the NAACP. “From her business achievements through Fenty to her tremendous record as an activist and philanthropist, Rihanna epitomizes the type of character, grace and devotion to justice that we seek to highlight in our President’s Award.”

Aside from her music career, Rihanna is also the creator of the makeup brand Fenty Beauty and has served as the ambassador of her hometown of Barbados.

The NAACP Image Awards will air on BET on Saturday, February 22.
