In what could be perceived as further evidence of the steady evaporation of Spike Lee’s Hollywood juice, rising star Rooney Mara has reportedly declined an offer to star in Lee’s upcoming adaptation of the the South Korean cult classic, Oldboy.

Or, it could be that Mara, who this December stars alongside Daniel Craig in the totally unnecessary remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, has simply grown weary of having to live up to the expectations of rehashing classic movie roles.
