Celebrity dating competition legends such as Flavor Flav and Tiffany “New York” Pollard walked so Miss Vanjie could run!

The RuPaul’s Drag Race alum has officially entered the televised dating universe as she attempts to find love in her new show, Vanjie: 24 Hours of Love. The show follows the fan-favorite drag queen as she spends 24 hours with 18 eligible bachelors in hopes of finding a Pretty Woman-type love before the clock runs out.

Shadow and Act recently spoke with Miss Vanjie about her experience filming the new series.

Though it was a fun time getting to know so many men in such a small amount of time, the drag superstar noted that this social experiment had its challenges as it sparked a ton of emotions for her.

It was, you know, I’ll say it was a lot. I went into trying to keep an open mind. But I don’t think I realized what I really got myself into it,” Vanjie explained. “And I’m one of those people that wear their heart on their sleeve. And I became really invested. And there was a lot of emotions over 24 hours, and then staying up for 24 hours. That alone was a f*****g challenge on its own. I’m like, ‘Y’all tried it with this 24 hours scheme.’ But it was good. Overall, it was a good experience. And, yeah, I can’t wait for the people to see because they’re gonna get, they’re gonna get the kikis, they’re gonna get it. They’re going to gag!”

Vanjie went on to share that meeting all of the men and finding the time to hold conversations with all of them was “stressful.”

“I could barely even carry a conversation with one person, let alone 18, and remember everyone’s names, and it was a lot,” Vanjie shared before noting that she “was up for the challenge.”

Going into this social experiment, Vanjie made it clear that she wanted to find that Pretty Woman/The Notebook type of love and didn’t have time for men who weren’t interested in a serious relationship.

A major deal breaker for me was somebody who wasn’t really like trying to take this experiment serious or was not trying to be in a real relationship and they were just there for you know, drinking my alcohol and a night at the Van-sion. We’re not doing that,” Vanjie explained. “Like if you’re going to come here, you ain’t wasting nobody’s time. You’re not gonna waste my time. And we’re ain’t gonna waste other contestants’ time that might be wanting some you know some real stuff.”

The RuPaul’s Drag Race alum continued, “We are trying to find some real connections. I want that rom-com real stuff that you see in the movies that make you, you know, make you get butterflies and I wanted to find a best friend at the end of the trip and find someone that can hopefully build a real relationship with.”

With Vanjie: 24 Hours of Love officially underway, Miss Vanjie is excited for fans to see a more vulnerable side to her.

“Just more layers of like me getting to shed more and for [fans] getting to know me more,” Vanjie said. “Dating is already extremely awkward for everybody. And then me putting down all my layers you get to see my mom, friends come in and help me find somebody, possibly dealing with rejection and me shedding a few tears. You get to like see some real s**t that we all go through on a day-to-day basis. And I’m no different from the next one. I’m trying to find me somebody I could wife, marry up, wife up, wife me up, and you know, get our lives together, honey.”
