'RuPaul's Drag Race' Fans Eat Up Jax's Lip-Sync To 'Sweetest Pie' By Megan Thee Stallion And Dua Lipa

RuPaul’s Drag Race has given us another lip sync for the ages!

During the Daytona Wind episode Feb. 10, Jax and Aura Mayari ended up in the bottom, leading to one of the biggest lip syncs this season. The lip-sync, set to Dua Lipa and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Sweetest Pie,” made fans excited thanks to Jax’s acrobatics and dancing skill.

One commenter tweeted a clip from Legendary, in which judge and stylist Law Roach is telling a contestant that she “ate that” performance.

“[I]t was painful to see Aura being devoured in this lip sync but Jax is the sweetest pie!!!!!!” wrote another commenter.

“[I] think [J]ax’s lip-sync was one of the best lip-syncs ever honestly,” wrote a viewer along with tweeting a clip of the lip sync.

“[T]his lipsync was so hot,” wrote another viewer, with RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 14 contestant Orion Story responded, “It was insane.”

“Never been obsessed w a lipsync since Denali’s !!!” responded another viewer. “This is IT”

“[Dare] I say Jax might be one of the best performers, like, ever? I’m gobsmacked,” wrote another viewer, tweeting a clip of the lip sync. Another Drag Race fan responded to the tweet with clips from some of Jax’s live performances, writing, “She’s even more amazing live, if you can imagine that’s possible.”

Other commenters also talked about how it seemed like Mayari didn’t know the words to the song, which she confirmed to Entertainment Weekly.

“I don’t remember this lip-sync at all because I didn’t know my f—ing words!…When I went home, I was beating myself up, like, oh my gosh, what the f— did you do on that stage? Memorizing rap is really hard. I knew Jax knew the song because Jax said, ‘I don’t understand why y’all don’t know ‘Sweetest Pie’ because it’s a bop,’ which made me nervous,” she said. “I memorized it before I went to bed that night. I was like, I’m good to go, if I lip-sync, I know the words. I woke up the next day, put on my earphones, listened to the song, and the words were gone.”

RuPaul’s Drag Race airs Fridays at 8/7c on MTV.
