Multiple timelines, two settings that take place in New York City and the Caribbean–and the truth about a crime bubbling to the surface years later?

This is just a little bit about Saint X, the new Hulu series produced by Drake that is based on the Alexis Schaitkin novel of the same name. While the series does deviate a little from its source material in some aspects, the main plot is still there: years after her sister’s death, a young woman is looking to figure out what really happened on that fateful night all those years back.

Per the Hulu description, the series “explores and upends the girl-gone-missing genre as it explores how a young woman’s mysterious death during an idyllic Caribbean vacation creates a traumatic ripple effect that eventually pulls her surviving sister into a dangerous pursuit of the truth.” The first three episodes of the series debuted on Hulu this week, with the pilot being directed by Dee Rees.

The cast runs down information about their characters, the story and what’s to come later on in the season.
