Samuel L. Jackson is one of the highest-grossing film actors of all time. Known for his trademark voice, the Oscar nominee has delivered iconic lines in films such as
Snakes On A Plane, Pulp Fiction and The Incredibles. With roles and movies that are present within the world of popular culture, it's only fitting that his iconic voice becomes omnipresent as well.
It has been announced that the Academy Award-nominated actor has inked a deal with Amazon to become the celebrity option for the voice of Alexa, the company's digitally enhanced assistant device.
This isn't the first time Alexa has featured celebrity voices. The popular device has featured singers such as Ed Sheeran. However, Jackson's signature voice will be one of many that will be synthesized in a bid on Amazon's part to imbue Alexa with more human vocal responses.
Users of Alexa can start with the command, "Alexa, introduce me to Samuel L. Jackson,” then select if they want him to use explicit language or not. Other voice commands will include "Alexa, ask Samuel L. Jackson where he is from” and “Alexa, ask Sam to wake me up at 7 a.m."
The "Jackson" Alexa voice pack will be available later this year for the cheap price of 99 cents.
