Sanford & Son is the latest sitcom to get the live reading treatment, following The Golden Girls, Friends and 227.
The reading will star Cedric the Entertainer, LaLa Milan and Dwyane Wade. Cedric the Entertainer will be Fred, Wade will be Lamont and Milan will be Esther. Wayne Brady is the host and Sanaa Lathan is the director.

The zoom event will also help viewers with increasing their political power through a sign-up process to receive messages on voting and other ways to using your voice during the political season. The event is also in collaboration with Zoom and will spotlight Pulso, a non-profit media start-up with a growing subscriber base of nearly 1 million Hispanic and Latinx people across the United States.
The event will take place Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. PST. The date coincides with the birthday of original Sanford & Son star, Demond Wilson.
