It’s a big day for Apple TV+’s See. Not only did the Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodard-led futuristic drama series release a teaser trailer for its second season, but Apple TV+ also announced the series has been renewed for a third season. Filming on the season is underway in Toronto.

Season 2 of the series will premiere on August 27 on Apple TV+. New episodes will premiere each Friday. The series also received an early renewal for a third season.

Newcomers for season 2 include Dave Bautista as Edo Voss, the brother of Momoa’s character, Baba Voss. Other new stars are Eden Epstein, Tom Mison, Hoon Lee, Olivia Cheng, David Hewlett and Tamara Tunie.

The series also stars Sylvia Hoeks, Hera Hilmar, Archie Madekwe, Nesta Cooper and Yadira Guevara-Prip.

See, which “takes place in the far future and humankind has lost its sense of sight,” will see its second season focus on Baba Voss, who “is fighting to reunite his torn-apart family and get away from the war and politics that surround him, but the more he moves away, the deeper he gets sucked in, and the emergence of his nemesis brother threatens his family even more.”

The second season of the show is executive produced by Steven Knight, Francis Lawrence, Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Jim Rowe and Jonathan Tropper, who also serves as showrunner. The series is produced by Chernin Entertainment and Endeavor Content.
