Zoë Kravitz is leading a new horror film that is being developed by Topic Studios.

The actress will star in the film titled Self-Portrait by director Mona Fastvold. Thomasin McKenzie (Eileen, Leave No Trace) will star alongside Kravitz in the psychological horror which is based off Rachel Lyon’s acclaimed debut novel Self-Portrait with Boy.

In SELF-PORTRAIT, a grieving photographer Lu Rile (Thomasin McKenzie) moves to a run-down artists’ warehouse in 1990s Brooklyn where she befriends Katherine (Zoë Kravitz), an accomplished painter who lives downstairs. When Katherine suffers her own tragic loss, Lu unknowingly captures the incident in one of her self-portraits, generating a sublime but horrifying image. Consumed with by mutual grief and an intensifying relationship, the women find themselves haunted by a demonic force hellbent on shaking their realities.
