Within days of its premiere, Netflix’s latest reality series Selling Tampa found its way in the Top 10. The series follows the ladies of Allure Realty, the first all-Black, all-female owned and operated real estate brokerage in Tampa. Viewers are highly anticipating a Season 2 but there are some who are not yet convinced. One of which is DJ Envy.

The radio personality and celebrity DJ is also a real estate mogul in his own right. He says there’s one key element to the show that’s missing.

What DJ Envy said about the show

The Breakfast Club host is not a fan of the show. After watching it, he appeared puzzled by the lack of homes showcased throughout the series, despite the show having several listings and open houses throughout the episodes. He called out the show’s creator, Adam DiVello, who also created the show’s predecessor, Selling Sunset. Envy says the shows are vastly different when showcasing luxury real estate.

“The Same person created both these shows…. SMH. 1 show sold no homes… NONE!!! Kind of embarrassing…The other show sells homes…Hmmm…Anybody else watches these shows??”

‘Selling Tampa’ cast responds

Anne-Sophie Petit-Frere, one of the cast members and one of the top real estate agents for Allure, replied to Envy in the comment section of his post.

She wrote: “Yes thank you so much for watching. The show was filmed throughout a few months and chopped up to just a few episodes 30mins long. We had many closings, but I guess it’s hard to fit all of that content in just a few episodes, so they chose the “juicer” ones cause let’s face it people want to be entertained”

Her co-star Juawana Colbert also chimed in, writing: “@djenvy thank you for watching #sellingtampa and for posting about the show. We welcome you and anyone else who didn’t the sales that was on the show to rewatch it. I personally was a part of one sale that was the largest Allure Realty has had.” She added: “My question for everyone on here is who did you use to buy or sell your property(s) did they look like us or no? See y’all on Season 2? Godwilling”

Sharelle Rosado, who owns the brokerage and engaged to Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, took a different approach in her response. She wrote: “@djenvy how about you have me on the breakfast club so we can discuss this ?? Place me on your calendar please #Sellingtampa”
