Here’s the description: The U.S. Federal Reserve is robbed by a highly organized and cleverly orchestrated team of crooks. With dozens of tourists held hostage during a 10-hour siege, an NYPD hostage negotiator (Ameen) and a federal agent join forces to rescue the hostages and foil the heist.

The film is set at Universal Home Entertainment’s Universal 1440 Entertainment. It will be available on Netflix as a licensed title, while also being available on other digital platforms.

MJ Bassett is the director, and Brian Bassey is the writer.

There was prior sequel talk in 2008 and 2009 with Lee returning to direct and the cast reprising their roles, but nothing ever came of it.

Ameen recently starred in Idris Elba’s feature directorial debut, Yardie, and is making his feature directorial debut soon with A Night Worth Living.

Deadline first reported the news.

Ameen was featured in Episode 1 of Shadow and Act’s Up Next series.
