Sex and the City sequel series has added three more characters that will join Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte.

Shadow and Act has learned that Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker and Karen Pittman have joined the cast of the HBO Max series. The casting follows Casey Bloys’ statement earlier this year that 3 women of color would be joining the show.

Choudhury plays Seema Patel, a single, self-made powerhouse Manhattan real estate broker. Parker plays Lisa Todd Wexley, a Park Avenue mother of three and documentarian. Pittman plays Dr. Nya Wallace, a brilliant, challenging Columbia Law professor.

Here’s the logline: This new chapter of the groundbreaking HBO series “Sex and the City” follows Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.

The ten-episode, half-hour series is currently shooting in New York. Sara Ramírez, Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Willie Garson and Evan Handler are also new series stars.

“Everyone at And Just Like That… is thrilled to have these amazing and vibrant actors join the ‘Sex and the City’ family,” said Michael Patrick King, Executive Producer. “Each of them will add their unique spark and big heart to these new characters and the stories we are about to tell.”

Executive producers include Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Julie Rottenberg, Elisa Zuritsky, John Melfi and Michael Patrick King. Writers include King, Samantha Irby, Rachna Fruchbom, Keli Goff, Rottenberg and Zuritsky. Sex and the City was created by Darren Star and based on the book “Sex and the City” by Candace Bushnell.
