Sex education isn’t offered in all schools. Luckily, actress and singer Janelle Monáe is offering an alternative way to learn about the subject matter as the narrator for Netflix’s five-part series, Sex, Explained.

A collaboration between Vox Media and Netflix, the series covers sex-related topics such as the biology of attraction and the history surrounding birth control.

Filled with vibrant animations and informative interviews, Sex, Explained fills a void left in many classrooms across the country.

2020 is gearing up to be another banner year for Monáe. The Moonlight and Hidden Figures breakout star will be headlining the upcoming Lionsgate thriller Antebellumwhich will open in theaters on April 24.
