Scams are running amok in New York City in the new Apple and A24 neo-noir thriller, Sharper.

Shadow and Act recently spoke to director Benjamin Caron and stars Julianne Moore, Sebasian Stan, Justine Smith and Briana Middleton about the film, including why New York was the perfect setting for the film, diving in their duplicitous character and much more. Also, we had to touch on Moore’s bougie fashions in the film.

Per its logline, Sharper “unfolds within the secrets of New York City, from the penthouses of Fifth Avenue to the shadowy corners of Queens. Motivations are suspect and expectations are turned upside down when nothing is as it seems.”

The film is produced by Jessica Switch and Erik Feig of Picturestart along with Julianne Moore, Bart Freundlich, Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka, and written by Gatewood and Tanaka. Julia Hammer and Amy Herman serve as executive producers.
