A familiar face is returning to Genoa City for The Young and The Restless’ 50th birthday.

According to Deadline, Shemar Moore will be reprising his role as Malcolm Winters in a special episode that celebrates the hit soap opera’s 50 anniversary.

Moore has made several appearance on the show over the years.

Now, he’s set to appear on The Young and The Restless’ 50th-anniversary special on May 8. In the episode, Moore’s character, Malcolm, “returns to town to connect with his daughter Lily (Christel Khalil) and nephews Devon (Bryton James) and Nate (Sean Dominic),” per Deadline.

Moore was a series regular until his departure from the soap in 2007.

He irst appeared on The Young and The Restless in 1994. He went on to win eight NAACP Image Awards as well as the 2000 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series during his time on the show, which spanned more than a decade.

After leaving the soap opera in 2005, the actor went on to land starring roles in Criminal Minds and S.W.A.T.
