Premiering soon, HBO’s Showbiz Kids will provide audiences with an in-depth look at what’s it like to be a child actor in the entertainment industry. The documentary film includes interviews from several successful child actors and parents to child actors, such as Jada Pinkett Smith, Diff’rent Strokes star Todd Bridges and the late Cameron Boyce.

Written and directed by former child actor Alex Winter, Showbiz Kids explores what it’s like to balance auditioning and working while maintaining a normal childhood. The film also features appearances from folks like E.T. actor Henry Thomas and upcoming King Richard star Demi Singleton.

“This is a story I’ve been wanting to tell for many years,” said Winter. “Having grown up in the business I’ve never seen the experiences of a child actor, from their early career through to the transition into adulthood, told from the perspective of those involved. I’m honored that these talented actors trusted me with their very personal stories.”

Showbiz Kids will be available on HBO and to stream on HBO Max. Watch the official trailer below:
