'Siren': Freeform Mermaid Drama Canceled After 3 Seasons

Freeform has canceled the mermaid thriller drama Siren after three seasons. Despite dropping viewership, it still remained the highest-rated Freeform series in linear ratings. It has a critically-acclaimed first season and continued the pace in season 2, which had an extended episode order.

Siren is an epic tale about the coastal town of Bristol Cove, known for its legend of once being home to mermaids. The arrival of a mysterious girl, Ryn, wreaks havoc on the small fishing town as she proves the folklore true. Using their resources, marine biologists Ben and Maddie must work together to find out who and what drove this primal hunter of the deep sea to land and if there are more like her.

The cast included Eline Powell, Alex Roe, Ian Verdun, Fola Evans-Aginbola, Sibongile Mlambo and Rena Owen.
