Sonic The Hedgehog 2 just released a new trailer ahead of its upcoming April 8 release date.

The sequel stars Jim Carrey and James Marsden, who are being joined this time around with Idris Elba as Knuckles.

Paramount has also released details on an early premiere date for fans and how they can see the film early on April 6 at select theaters before its weekend release.

1. This screening event will air in participating theatres at 6 p.m. local time in the theaters premium formats. 

Fans will be able to buy tickets for the early access screening soon.

The event will also have exclusive gifts for early watchers. The gifts include an exclusive, limited edition Collector’s Print designed by artist Tyson Hesse, best known for his work on the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise; and a limited-edition comic book reprinted with cinema-exclusive cover art illustrated by Nathalie Fourdraine, who is a contributor to the Sonic Comic book.

The film stars James Marsden, Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Lee Majdoub and Jim Carrey returning, alongside new additions Shemar Moore, with Idris Elba as the voice of Knuckles and Colleen O’Shaughnessey as the voice of Tails.
