Annapurna Pictures has set a summer release date for Boots Riley’s feature directorial debut, Sorry To Bother You. 

The satirical dark comedy will be released on June 29.

The film debuted to critical acclaim at Sundance last month.  In a speculative and dystopian not-too-distant future, black telemarketer Cassius Green discovers a magical key to professional success – which propels him into a macabre universe. Sorry to Bother You stars Lakeith Stanfield, Tessa Thompson, Steven Yeun, Jermaine Fowler, Armie Hammer, Omari Hardwick and Terry Crews. (Read our interview with Riley and the cast here). 

Additionally, another upcoming feature from Annapurna, an untitled Adam McKay-directed film, has been dated for Dec. 21. The film stars Christian Bale as Dick Cheney, Sam Rockwell as George W. Bush, Amy Adams as Lynne Cheney, Steve Carell as Donald Rumsfeld, LisaGay Hamilton as Condoleeza Rice and Tyler Perry as Colin Powell. According to Deadline, contrary to their previous reports, the film is not solely about Cheyney. It was previously reported to be a Cheyney biopic.
