On the heels of its SXSW premiere, the official trailer has been released for Boots Riley’s feature directorial debut, Sorry to Bother You.

The film, which had its worldwide premiere received with critical acclaim at Sundance, stars Lakeith Stanfield and Tessa Thompson, alongside Terry Crews, Omari Hardwick, Jermaine Fowler, Armie Hammer, Danny Glover and Steven Yeun.

Starring Stanfield as Cassius Green, the film, set in a speculative and dystopian not-too-distant future follows a young black man trying to find his purpose in life in an alternative version of Oakland. Living in his uncle’s (Crews) garage, Cass finds solace in the arms of his artist, sign-twirling girlfriend Detroit (Thompson) who chooses activism over affluence. Desperate for more in life, Cass finds a job at telemarketing company where after receiving some advice from an older co-worker (Glover) he quickly rises up the ranks. However, what he isn’t prepared for is what he’ll have to sell or how he’ll have to sell out to stay at the top.

The satirical dark comedy will be released in theaters on June 29.
