Star stayed true to its unpredictable format Thursday night as the show had a season 3 finale that was truly wild.

Spoilers ahead:

To recap it all succinctly:

— Take 3 won the ASA, got it taken away…but then…actually won it after all?
— Rashad (MAJOR.) isn’t reacting too well to the news that Carlotta (Queen Latifah) is his mother.
— Still hellbent on giving up their baby for adoption, Star (Jude Demorest) took Noah (Luke James) to court and got his parental rights terminated.
— While Alex (Ryan Destiny) is at a bachelorette party with the girls, her stalker (Kayla Brianna) returns, blindfolding and tricking a drunken Derek (Quincy Brown) into believing she is Alex.
—  In one of the most stable moments of the season, everyone is happy as they come together to celebrate Alex and Derek’s wedding.
— …..until all hell breaks loose during the last moments of the show.

The only confirmed fatality is Derek’s grandmother, Ms. Ruby (Juanita Jennings), who was confronted by members of her rapist’s gang before heading to the wedding. Those two gang members then head to the wedding to shoot it up as well.

As far as the wedding, the folks we know were shot are Angel (Evan Ross), Cassie (Brandy) and Mateo (William Levy). We aren’t sure if any of them are dead or alive. In the aftermath, Star finally realized that she and Noah deserve to raise their baby, but when they get back Jackson, who was babysitting, is unconscious on the floor and baby Davis is gone. Their fates are unknown.

Featuring a soundtrack of original music and musical performances, Lee Daniels’ drama series Star follows three talented singers (played by Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny and Brittany O’Grady), desperate for a new start, and with ambitions of stardom, as they navigate the cutthroat music business on their road to success. The show also stars Amiyah Scott, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Brandy, Quincy Brown and Evan Ross.

Star has not been officially renewed for a Season 4, but its fate is expected to be announced in the next few days ahead of upfronts.
