Star Wars actress and newcomer Naomi Ackie thinks her own character should get her own spinoff tale.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Ackie discussed the endless possibilities for her Star Wars character, Jannah, as well as her significance.

Jannah was a completely new character and I like the idea that the Star Wars universe is expanding,” Ackie said. “I think Jannah could get a spinoff. She has a really rich backstory that JJ [Abrams] told me about, and a future that we still don’t know about.”

Ackie portrayed Jannah in Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker. In the film, Jannah was depicted as a former First Order stormtrooper and an orphan from Kef Bir. At the end of the film, it was implied that Jannah was the daughter of Landa Calrissian, a fan favorite Star Wars character portrayed by both Billy Dee Williams and Donald Glover.

While it is unclear whether a spinoff starring Jannah will happen, the theory that she may be Lando Calrissian’s daughter holds an endless ring of possibilities for new Star Wars tales.
