Storm Reid To Star In And Produce Paramount's 'Becoming Noble,' Following Teen Who Learns She's An African Princess

Storm Reid is set to star in and produce (along with her mother), Becoming Noble for Paramount, in which she’ll play a teen who learns she is an African princess. The feature film is written by Nneka Gerstle.

As reported by Variety, Reid will play the titular character of Noble, who after finding out she is a Princess in an African nation, travels to her home country on the continent to discover her roots and to determine if royal is something she really wants to be.

Reid is not the only producer attached so far, as Euphoria actress star’s mother, Robyn Simpson, has also signed on to produce Becoming Noble. The duo will produce the film through their joint venture, A Seed and Wings Productions. Cas Sigers Beedles is also a producer. Andy Fickman and Betsy Sullenger will executive produce.

“This has truly been a passion project and we are so excited to bring this story to life,” stated Reid, Simpson and Sigers Beedles in a statement received by Variety. “Becoming Noble started out as just an idea that we continued to build on together and we now look forward to working with the team at Paramount to hit the ground running.”

Most viewers were first introduced to Reid when she portrayed Meg Murry in Ava DuVernay’s adaptation of the classic novel A Wrinkle In Time.

Aside from A Wrinkle In Time and Euphoria, Reid is also known for her roles in films such as Don’t Let Go, The Invisible Man and The Suicide Squad. On the TV front, Reid is also known for her role in the Netflix series When They See Us.
