Submissions Now Being Accepted For The Black Harvest Film Festival 2012

nullGetting personal here since I've been involved with it from the very beginning and even despite the fact that it's early April, before you know it it will be that time of year again (where does the time go?) for The Black Harvest Film Festival. The festival takes place, as it always does, this summer at The Gene Siskel Film Center of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

The festival shows anything and everything about black life, history and culture (provided of course that it's good) such as the documentary Kinshasa Symphony (pictured above) and this year will be, amazingly, the festival's 18th year in operation (like I said where does the time go?) and the festival dates are from August 3 – 30th.

So right now the festival is accepting all submissions in any genre – narrartive, experimental and documentary, in any time length and in any format from film to video and the deadline this year in June 4

If you're interested PLEASE send us your work and make sure to fill out the official 2012 BH application form HERE and remember there's NO fee to submit a film to Black Harvest
