When we think of actor T.C. Carson, most people will associate him with Kylie Barker, the charismatic pro-Black stockbroker from the hit ’90s sitcom, Living Single. A Chicago native, Living Single was Carson’s major debut after an earlier series, Key West was canceled on Fox. In the series, Carson’s Kyle was known for his dapper style, flirting, and sparring with Max (Erika Alexander).

While Living Single ran for five seasons from 1993 to 1998, Carson exited the show after Season four. He later said his reason for leaving the series was based on the executives’ treatment of himself and his castmates.

“We were getting less all around,” he said in an interview with Comedy Hype. “And then they created Friends and gave them everything. Both shows were Warner Bros. shows on Warner Bros. lots. So to watch that, to be on our lot and to watch that, was really kind of a slap in the face.”

After leaving Living Single, Carson didn’t slow down; he appeared in films like Final Destination 2 and Gang Related. However, video game fans will recognize his voice from some of their beloved games.

Carson will voice characters in numerous Star Trek games including Klingon Academy, Star Wars games like Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith, Pirates: The Legend of Black Kat, Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds – Clone Campaigns, several Lilo & Stich games, Afro Samurai, Tron, Mortal Combat, and he voiced Kratos in God Of War for nearly a decade.

Though Carson has several film roles coming down the pipeline according to his IMBD, we’re sure that the actor and talented musician has not done his last voice role in some of the gaming world’s most beloved video games.
