Rapper Tyga and actor C.J. Wallace will star in the upcoming third season of MTV's television reboot of the horror film Scream. [caption id="attachment_297919" align="alignnone" width="1024"]

The series is seeing a retool with new cast, location and story for this season. Note that it was initially considered to produce Scream as an anthology series. A new creative team is on board, including Queen Latifah as executive producer. Production is also moving from Louisiana to Atlanta. The premise of the season will be around set around "Deion Elliot, a local star running back whose tragic past comes back to haunt him at the worst time, threatening his hard-earned plans for his future — and the lives of his unlikely group of friends." In his first regular role on television, Tyga (real name Michael Ray Stephenson) will play Jamal, Deion's stepbrother, who has "undying loyalty" Deion. Wallace, who is the son of the late rapper The Notorious B.I.G. and singer Faith Evans, will portray Amir, a "socially awkward savant" expected by his family to maintain the family business, but he wants to get into music. After becoming the target of a killer, he begins to reconsider his dreams. Wallace is most known for his role in Kicks, and portraying his father in Notorious. It is unknown as of now who will portray Devon. Scream will return to MTV in March.
