Oprah Winfrey will host a special conversation with Ava DuVernay about DuVernay’s latest powerhouse project, When They See Us.

The special, Oprah Winfrey Presents When They See Us Now, will air on Netflix as well as OWN June 12 at 10 p.m. ET after the fourth season premiere of DuVernay’s Queen Sugar. The special will be recorded during the closing night of Netflix’s Emmy FYSEE showcase June 9 at Raleigh Studios in Los Angeles.

The conversations will feature interviews with not only DuVernay, but also the Exonerated Five, dubbed by the media as the Central Park Five, the five men who were wrongly convicted as boys of assaulting and raping a Central Park jogger in 1989 –Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana and Korey Wise. The event will also include interviews with actors from the miniseries, including Jharrel Jerome, Asante Blackk, Caleel Harris, Ethan Herisse, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, Freddy Miyares, Niecy Nash, Michael K. Williams, Joshua Jackson and Justin Cunningham as well as executive producers Jane Rosenthal and Berry Welsh.

Winfrey has been revisiting her journalism roots lately with conversations such as the one she will hold with DuVernay, the Exonerated Five, and the cast of When They See Us. In March, for instance, Winfrey sat down with Michael Jackson’s accusers for the HBO/OWN joint special Oprah Winfrey Presents: After Neverland.

When They See Us is currently streaming on Netflix.
