Tamera Mowry-Housley has been announced as the latest addition to Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family daytime series. She has also signed an overall deal with Crown Media Family Networks, which owns the full slate of Hallmark cable channels.

Through the deal, Mowry-Housely will star in and executive upcoming Hallmark films, including the holiday film Christmas Comes Twice, which premieres Dec. 13. She officially joins the Home & Family roster in December as well.

Michelle Vicary, EVP of Programming & Network Program Publicity for Crown Media Family Networks, said she and Crown Media are “thrilled” to welcome Mowry-Housley to the Hallmark Channel.

“Having worked with Tamera on a few original movies previously it is a joy to have her star and executive produce more projects with us,” said Vicary in a statement. “The really exciting part of this deal is that she will join our talented cast of Home & Family, one of the best lifestyle shows in television.”

Mowry-Housley also commented on the deal, saying, “There’s just something about a Hallmark movie that warms your heart and I’m beyond excited to be joining the network not just as an actor and executive producer, but more so as a family member. I can’t wait to share our first original film this holiday season.”
