Taraji P. Henson is the latest talent to sign an overall production deal at BET Studios–Shadow and Act has confirmed.
The first studio venture of its kind, BET Studios is designed to “supply the increased demand for premium content from Black creators across an array of internal buyers, including Paramount+, SHOWTIME, CBS, Nickelodeon, BET+, and BET, in addition to select third-party platforms.”

Henson is currently filming The Color Purple musical film adaptation. It was also recently announced that she will produce and star in Alessandro Camon’s Time Alone, under the TPH banner.
TPH Entertainment was first launched in the fall of 2020 by Henson with her producing parner Christine Conley.
Previously announced projects include TwoFaced with Bron Entertainment– it will be Henson’s her feature directorial debut. They also have Sorcerority, which they will co-produce with Game Changer Films and Gabrielle Union’s I’ll Have Another Productions.
