Winning seems to run in the Shumpert family!

Wednesday night, the seventh season of the musical competition show The Masked Singer crowned its winner: R&B artist and actress Teyana Taylor.

The show, sees public figures face off against each other in a musical showdown, whilst appearing in elaborate costumes and masks to conceal their identities. Once done performing, the judges and the audience must try to decipher the identity of the performer behind the mask.

When asked why she decided to be on 'The Masked Singer' by host Nick Cannon, Taylor said she did it because there's no judgement and she wanted to sing and have fun while doing so.

‘I was like this would be something really nice to do, and just be able to just sing and it’ll be fun again, and there’s just no judgment,’ she said. “Nobody knows who’s behind the mask. You just get to sing your heart out.”

With Taylor’s win, it makes two trophies in the Shumpert household.

For those familiar, Taylor’s husband, Iman Shumpert, was recently crowned the winner of season 30 of the long-running ABC competition show Dancing With The Stars.

Taylor performed on the show as Firefly and delivered a show-stopping rendition of judge Robin Thicke’s song “Lost Without U.” Taylor’s performance was well-received by Thicke.

'That's what you did," said Cannon. "You sang your heart out and you won. Your husband just won 'Dancing With The Stars' and now you won 'The Masked Singer.' Y'all got all types of trophies at the crib."
