'The Bachelor: After the Final Rose' To Be Hosted By Emmanuel Acho In Chris Harrison's Absence

Former NFL Eagles star and current sports analyst Emmanuel Acho will host The Bachelor: After the Final Rose special in Chris Harrison’s absence.

Two weeks after Harrison announced that he would be "stepping aside for a period of time," ABC tapped Acho for the hosting gig. The decision comes amid much talk about racism and inclusion in the longtime reality series.

It puts Acho in the position to discuss the outcome of The Bachelor with Matt James, the franchise's first Black lead. Acho will also speak with the final three women, Bri, Michelle and Rachael during the one-hour special.

In a statement Acho expressed his excitement about the special noting, "It's both an honor and privilege to be hosting After the Final Rose. This is an incredibly pivotal episode on one of the most storied shows in television history."

The special airs Monday, March 15 on ABC.
