This season of The Bachelor has been controversial with so much conversation surrounding race. In addition to Matt James being the first Black lead of the reality series, there’s been more diversity in terms of contestants vying for the final rose. But adding another layer was frontrunner Rachael Kirconnell being at the front of a racism controversy. 

But as James’ season nears its end, fans are looking to the future. One contestant who is causing a lot of chatter is Michelle Young. Her entrance into the competition was late. She joined halfway through the season with four other new contestants. 

Despite being a late addition, Young is the only one from her batch who is still in the running for Jame’ heart. But with high speculation that James selects Kirkconnell, many are hoping that Young is the next Bachelorette.

Fans love Young for free and open personality. When she received a rose from James in a recent episode, she dropped to the floor to do a few push-ups. James was quite impressed, praising Young on her “good form.” She and her family also pleased viewers in the most recent episodes, which was the notable “Hometowns” episode that takes place each season.
