Newcomer Jayme Lawson has been tapped for a key role in Matt Reeves’ The Batman opposite Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, Paul Dano, Colin Farrell and Andy Serkis.

As a recent graduate of Juilliard, Lawson is truly a fresh face. It’s a huge film debut and early grab for the newcomer, who recently signed with UTA.

Her character’s role is being kept secret for now, so it’s unclear which character she will be playing.  At Juilliard, Lawson played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet in Hamlet.

The film will be in theaters on June 25, 2021. Reeves is both directing and writing the film.

Collider exclusively reported Lawson’s casting.
