The Best Man: The Final Chapters, the upcoming Peacock limited series and final iteration on The Best Man franchise, has dropped its first images.
The show also has set a holiday season premiere date of December 22.
The series includes returning stars:
Morris Chestnut (Lance Sullivan), Melissa De Sousa (Shelby Taylor), Taye Diggs (Harper Stewart), Regina Hall (Candace Murchison), Terrence Howard (Quentin Spivey), Sanaa Lathan (Robyn Stewart), Nia Long (Jordan Armstrong) and Harold Perrineau (Julian Murchison).
Recurring cast members are:
Nicole Ari Parker, Brandon Victor Dixon, Ron Canada, Michael Genet, Yvonna Pearson, Aaron Serotsky, Terrence Terrell, Tobias Truvillion and Eric Scott Ways.
The four episode series "will catch up with the beloved cast as relationships evolve and past grievances resurface in the unpredictable stages of midlife crisis meets midlife renaissance."
The limited dramedy series is written and executive produced by Malcolm D. Lee and Dayna Lynn North. NBCUniversal’s Peacock is a natural fit for the film series, which is from Universal Pictures.
“The Best Man films were a cultural touchstone during my college days — and they’ve remained influential pop culture references to this day,” said North in a prior statement. “I’ve grown up laughing with these characters, copying their dance moves, and grieving at their losses. I am overjoyed to be partnering with Malcolm D. Lee and this amazing cast to adapt this iconic franchise at Peacock.”
