The Boys is wrapping up its third season, and for stars Jensen Ackles, Chace Crawford and Claudia Doumit, it’s been a whirlwind for them as it has been for fans.

In a chat earlier in the season with Shadow and Act, the trio of actors, who play most of the season’s biggest personalities, talked about what it’s like playing these characters.

For Doumit in particular, this role is a vast departure from a lot of her prior roles, such as Jiya on NBC’s Timeless.

“It’s endlessly fascinating to play Victoria Neuman because she is a very duplicitous character and I like to say she’s a woman of many faces,” she told us. “And it’s always interesting when I’m reading a script to see who I’m having a scene with, because I feel like Neuman interacts with every character differently. Depending on what that character’s desires and wants are, she kind of caters the conversation towards that person’s needs, to then get ahead herself, so it’s actually been really fun to be manipulative and duplicitous.”

Speaking of those scripts, Ackles said at the time he was nervous to see fan reactions but was even nervous when reading some of the scripts.

‘They don’t necessarily prep us for what we’re going to find out when we read those scripts,” he explained. “So in episode 7 when there’s a huge, huge reveal, and I had no idea– it’s like you would get these scripts, and opening up the first page, it’s like turning a doorknob in a slasher movie. You never know what you’re going to get, but you know it’s going to be something outrageous and something incredible.”
