The remake of The Craft at Blumhouse has finished filming.

In an interview with TooFab about several upcoming Blumhouse projects, Jason Blum said, “So I can’t report on anything with, from The Craft, except that it’s done shooting. And I’m supposed to see it in about two or three weeks.”

Greenleaf star Lovie Simone is one of the film’s leads. It will also star Cailee Spaeny, Gideon Adlon, Zoey Luna, Michelle Monaghan and David Duchovny.

The original film, released in 1996, starred Rachel True, Neve Campbell, Robin Tunney and Fairuza Balk as a quartet of teenage girls who are also witches that conjure up chaos. The film was a surprise success, topping the U.S. box office in its opening weekend and eventually grossing a total of $55.7 million on a $15 million budget.

A remake of The Craft is certainly something in Blumhouse’s wheelhouse. The production company has produced several successful horror films, such as Get Out and the Halloween reboot.

Simone also recently starred in the Sundance selection, Selah and the Spadeswhich has been picked up by Amazon. The streamer is also developing a series based on the film.
