"Girlfriends"
“Girlfriends”

The CW network announced at the Television Critics Association (TXA) event this week that it will add “Girlfriends,” its spinoff series, “The Game,” and “Everybody Hates Chris” to its digital platform, CW Seed, to celebrate next month’s 10th anniversary of the network.

All 3 series aired on The CW in 2006 when the network launched (when UPN and The WB merged, as you might recall). “Girlfriends” aired on UPN for most of its run (2000–2006), but it aired on The CW for its last 2 seasons (2006–2008). The series has long been the subject of potential reunion/reboot rumors that haven’t yet become a reality.

“Everybody Hates Chris” aired on UPN for its 2005–2006 season, and then aired on The CW for the rest of its run, from 2006–2009.

And “The Game” premiered in 2006 when The CW formed, and aired from 2006-2009 before getting canceled, only to be picked up by BET, where it ran from 2011-2015.

CW Seed can be found at cwseed.com, or you can install the app on your mobile, desktop or set-top box devices.
