Amid the many cancellations handed down by The CW on Thursday, the network also ordered three pilots to series, including two spinoffs–Shadow and Act has learned.

All three pilots The CW ordered– The Winchesters, Walker: Independence and Gotham Knights– have all gone to series.

The series joins Thursday’s renewal of All American: Homecoming and the previous renewals of All American, The Flash, Kung Fu, Nancy Drew, Riverdale, Superman & Lois and Walker. The fates of Legacies, Tom Swift and Supergirl are still up in the air.

'Gotham Knights'

In the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his rebellious adopted son (Oscar Morgan) forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights. 

Cast includes Anna Lore, Fallon Smythe, Tyler DiChiara, Olivia Rose Keegan, Navia Robinson, Oscar Morgan and Misha Collins.

It is executive produced by Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux. Natalie Abrams is the writer and executive produces. Danny Cannon directed the pilot. Other EPs are Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and David Madden.

 

'Walker: Independence'

A WALKER origin story set in the late 1800s that follows Abby Walker (Katherine McNamara), an affluent Bostonian whose husband is murdered before her eyes while on their journey out West. On her quest for revenge, Abby crosses paths with Hoyt Rawlins (Matt Barr), a lovable rogue in search of purpose. Abby and Hoyt’s journey takes them to Independence, Texas, where they encounter diverse, eclectic residents running from their own troubled pasts and chasing their dreams. Our newfound family will struggle with the changing world around them, while becoming agents of change themselves in a town where nothing is what it seems.

The cast also includes Greg Hovanessian as Sheriff Tom Davidson, Lawrence Kao as Kai, Justin Johnson Cortez as Calian, Philemon Chambers as Deputy Sheriff Augustus and Katie Findlay as Kate.

Jared Padalecki, Dan Lin, Lindsey Liberatore and Laura Terry executive produce. Larry Teng also executive produces and direccted the pilot. Seamus Fahey wrote the teleplay and co-wrote the story with Anna Fricke.

'The Winchesters'

Before Sam and Dean, there was John and Mary. Told from the perspective of narrator Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles), THE WINCHESTERS is the epic, untold love story of how John (Drake Rodger) met Mary (Meg Donnelly) and how they put it all on the line to not only save their love, but the entire world. Prequel to the long-running hit series SUPERNATURAL.

The cast includes Meg Donnelly as Mary Campbell, Drake Rodger as John Winchester, Bianca Kajlich as Millie Winchester, Nida Khurshid as Latika Desai, Jojo Fleites as Carlos Cervantez. and Demetria McKinney as Ada Monroe. Jensen Ackles narrates.
